What We Believe
Glad Tidings is a non-denominational church. We teach and believe the following:
The Scripture
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and the divine word of God. It was written by the holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
(2 Peter 1:20, 21)
One God
Existent in God the Father; Jesus the son; and the Holy Spirit, each being a distinct personality.
(1 John 5:7)
The New Birth
Mankind having received redemption through faith in Jesus Christ thus saving him from his sinful nature.
(Romans 10: 9, 10; John 3: 3, 7; Romans 3: 22-25, 28)
Water Baptism
Water baptism by immersion as Christ gave to us.
(Matthew 28:19)
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the gift and promise of God to all believers with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.
(Acts 2:4; Matthew 3: 11; John 1:33)
The Rapture
Jesus will return for his church and we'll be caught up to meet him in the air.Divine Healing
Physical healing has been provided for us through Christ.
(Isaiah 53: 5; Matthew 8:17; James 5:14, 15)
The Church
The church is the body of believers who gather together for worship, encouragement, edification, and mission. All believers should do the work of the ministry according to their spiritual gifts.
(Psalms 111:1; Acts 2:42-47, 16:5; Romans 12:5; Hebrews 10:24-25)
